Project Description

MEnD was engaged by Aurecon to provide material engineering services, a vessel with crew and an inspection dive team for the condition assessment of various Eastern assets at HMAS Kuttabul, located in the East Coast of New South Wales.

Solution Execution

Detailed visual survey, ultrasonic thickness (UT) measurements, pit depth measurements, dry film thickness measurements, potential measurements, and underwater visual inspection via diving operations.

An assessment of the CP system performance and defect mark-up drawings were produced for each inspected structure, highlighting areas with significant deterioration.

Outcomes from the inspection saw the client provided with remedial recommendations for the assets as well as high level budget estimates for any recommended works.
